Busiest Week Ever!!

So I have so much to update about! It's a bit overwhelming! So I started in Houston and said goodbye to my hometown! It was so sad. I'm excited for school though! And then me and my family drove 14 hours in one day to Saint Louis! We went to church with them. It was fun to see my nephew Jack interact with other kids! This is him (on the left) with his friend Jake. Jack and Jake. So cute!
On Sunday night we just hung out and played games. Cute shot of the boys :]

My sister and I before hitting downtown St. Louis!
I loved the Rocky Roads.
The arch! It was awesome. Seriously. The architecture required to build it just blows my mind!
This was a plaque in the museum underneath the arch. Super super funny.
Across the street from the arch is "The Old Courthouse." This courthouse where the Dred Scott Case was decided. It was pretty awesome!

But it's under construction right now!
We went bowling. It was so funny to watch Jack bowl. He loved it. He talks about bowling all the time!
Jack eats peppers whole. Like seriously. He will eat anything! He is totally not picky. So weird.
We went paddle boating one morning. It was super hot and my legs were tired after five minutes! But the views were super worth it!

That's the Art Museum in the background. Isn't it amazing? Saint Louis is awesome!
So... someone had done that in the sand... I promise it wasn't me. It was there when I got there. Weird!

Jack chugging down some homemade rootbeer. So cute! He's getting so big!
He's such a trickster. He dumped the water on my mom. haha!
So then we went to the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis. It was amazing. SO much mosaics! The entire place is filled with them. So beautiful.

The chair that the pope sat in when he visited the basilica.

We visited the Saint Louis Botanical Gardens. It was amazing. The best one I've ever seen. Acres and Acres of the most amazing flowers. Senior Pictures all over again! haha.

Jack was loving those lambs!
My future backyard!
Feeding the fishies!
It was hot. Terrible.
We brought Jack's swimsuit and he played in the fountains!

In the backseat on the way to Illinois. We stopped at the hometown of Mark Twain. It was interesting. I'm sure the town had it's day, but it was kind of sad... totally run down. But it was fun to visit it.

So we went to Carthage Jail. It is the place that the first prophet of our church was martyred. It was a really great experience to visit that place.
In Nauvoo we were able to visit so many things. It was so cool. This is the Nauvoo Temple. So pretty!
Family!!
Chad and Amy and Jack. They are adorable!

Nauvoo was built by early mormons, some of which were my ancestors. So it was really fun to go and see what was left of the town.

We got back to St. Louis Saturday night and Sunday was my Dad's birthday. 55! Crazy!

The trip was amazing. I am now in Provo, Utah. I move into my dorm on Wednesday morning. A whole new adventure for me. I'm so excited!

confesssion time!

I've been terrible about updating my world. like for real.

I'm deeply sorry people!
so it's all very exciting. I am in Saint Louis! It is totally amazing. I love it. I would absolutely love to live here one day. Everyone's so nice and there are so many things to do. I have yet to upload the hundreds and hundreds of pictures I've taken so far on my trip, but when I do you better believe that I am going to have one HUGE post about this amazing trip!

It's so fun being here visiting my family. My nephew is so cute! He says the silliest things and is definitely the best source of entertainment!
My brother's been taking me to the gym with him and I've been pumping some iron... I'm totally sore!
We've been having family competitions on the wii. So fun!

Monday I leave for Utah! I am so excited. I'm already missing all of my Texas people. I just don't want to grow up yet I guess haha. I'm sure I'll meet new people and it will be awesome... but I'm just on edge right now!

So until my next post... bye!... or as my nephew Jack would put it... See ya later peeps!

HOT BOYS

So on Busy Bee Lauren's blog she had "the list" aka hot boys post. And then told us to post our hot boy list. When I first read her post many a boys came into my mind but I decided not to post my own list. But when my very own best friend Lauren had a hot boys post I couldn't resist. I must share my picks :]

Kris Allen
Why are you married? I'm being serious. I need you.

Zachary Quinto
I realize that you are the bad guy in Heroes, but I don't mind :]
It's okay because I love you. I don't care if you are a serial killer and killed your last lover.
It's going to be okay.

John Krasinski
He is on this list for many reasons. And it's not only because he is Jim Halpert.
I mean there are a lot of other reasons....

Jared Padalecki
I don't usually go for the long haired guys, but it works for him.
It just does.

Taylor Lautner
Just to clear some things up. I am not saying that I am Team Jacob.
I am just saying that Taylor Lautner is gorgeous

and has flawless skin. Seriously.

Michael Cassidy
Can you honestly look at him for a moment and tell me you aren't obsessed with him??

Andy Roddick
It is not only because he is a tennis player. It is because he can look so good while playing.
Trust me. It's hard. And he has mastered it.

Zac Efron
Yes I do realize he is on everyone else's list. But how can he not be. Look into those eyes.
Sometimes it's too much for me to handle.

Matthew McConaughey
No words. I can't speak. Seriously. He's perfect.

i'm terrible!

I am so bad at this blogging thing! I am like hey I'm going to blog everyday, but the past two days every time I thought about sitting down and actually writing something, I totally didn't want to. So I will update now, it kind of counts right? I didn't blog the past two days, but I will tell you what happened the past two days. I think that counts for something. haha.

So on Monday my friends and I had our last hurrah together! It was so fun to get together again. I was Jocelin, Allison, Amber, Lauren, Carlie and I. We had a photoshoot together and then made picture frames to put the photos in. I was definitely not having a photogenic day. It was tragic. But here is a picture we took in Allison's backyard.

We also went swimming in Carlie's pool which was a lot of fun. I hadn't been swimming in a long time. Very refreshing. Anyways it was good to get together with the girls again!

Last night my family decided it would be fun to rent a movie and watch it together. Sounds like a great idea, yes? We got 17 again. I had seen it once in theaters and I remember enjoying it a lot.
IT WAS TERRIBLE. I don't know what was going on in my head the first time I saw it. Was I delusional? Was I simply distracted by Zac Efron's good looks? Watching it with my parents was even worse because I had told them it was a good movie. It was so bad. So many unnecessary things. The peacocking... just so bad. I can't talk about it anymore.

What did you think of the movie?

update!!

So. I have a confession. I am scared to write in my blog. That sounds super dumb, but it's true. I log on to blogger pretty much everyday but (as you can tell) I rarely actually have a post. Why you ask? It is because I update myself on everyone else's blog, and then I feel like I have to come up with something clever and concise to talk about on mine. But I'm not clever and I am most certainly not concise. I genuinely enjoy hearing the sound of my voice. And if you are friends with me... you know that it is true... because I talk a lot. And it is okay, because that is the way I am.

So this blog post is just going to be me rambling. I have a new goal. For the next week I will be posting daily on my blog. So I must catch you up on the daily activities of Holly.

We celebrated my sister's birthday a week ago. Julie is now 23! It was a total party!

I was really fun. And I must confess, Julie picked out a fabulous birthday cake!

Neil and Meredith came to celebrate with us. Neil's birthday was three days before so we had a bit of a celebration for him!

Grace is getting so big. She's super cute :]
We also played gestures... wayy fun!

The next day my mom went to Saint Louis to watch my nephew, Jack, while my brother and sister-in-law went to New York. When my mother left my family went a bit nuts! We went bowling! My father is an interesting bowler. He is very good. Always beats me, but he kind of jumps on his foot and spins the ball weird. You think it is going to be a gutter ball and then at the last minute it spins and hits some pins. Well it was my dad's second bowl and he starts jumping on his foot and when he let go of the ball he lost his balance, and fell into the lane! I was so scared for him. That can really hurt! But he jumped right back up to look at his bowl, and sure enough... it was a strike! We asked him if it was worth it and he just groaned! Hahah.

Here are some pictures from the bowling fiasco.

My dad's intense bowl!

My family is fun :]

It is just a bunch of pictures of me and my friends mostly this summer!
It's just so much fun.

So there it is! I hope you like it!
You girls are amazing and I'm totally going to miss you!
